Research area: Ornamental plant genetics and genomics
After postdoctoral study at the University of Georgia, Dr. Wilde worked in the biotech industry for 10 years. This took place at Westvaco's Forest Science Laboratory (Summerville, SC), which later became the company ArborGen. He then conducted dinoflagellate research for a short while at a NOAA marine laboratory (Charleston, SC) before joining the UGA Horticulture Department in 2008.
